Nottingham (2006)

About this game

From boardgamenews.com: The Sheriff of Nottingham is in trouble! His time in power is nearing its end, and he hasn’t quite managed to get enough cash together to buy another year in office. So he sends his Deputies out to collect the overdue taxes and promises to promote the most successful Deputy to the rank of Chief Assistant. Is it any wonder, then, that the Deputies think nothing of occasionally picking their colleagues’ pockets? Contents: 1 Scoreboard, 8 Playing Pieces, 110 Cards, 1 Rules Insert

Does it fit your group?

• Group size. Works with 3 to 7.
• Rules load. At 1.6/5 this is a light game — explain it in a few minutes, good for a table that has not played much.
• Age. The publisher suggests 10 and up. That rates the rules rather than the artwork, so judge the box yourself for younger players.
